Ajyal HR Solutions & Services LLC is a local firm, established to support the Omani & GCC market in Human Resources solutions through its global experience and international Partners.
Our Client, a Government-owned utility company based in Muscat is seeking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer to plan, manage, monitor and control the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and water distribution within the managed regions. To ensure safe, and reliable power supply and water supply while ensuring ongoing fulfilment of customer needs through new projects and network expansions. To manage and develop the operations and project teams across the region.

Post Name: Chief Operating Officer
Applicants should possess a minimum of 15 years’ experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading a team. Candidate is desirable/ preferable to have an Engineering degree in any discipline from an accredited educational institution and must have knowledge of the utilities sector in Oman/GCC.
Requirements:

  • Candidate should be expertise in development of long-term and short-term strategy for Operations and Projects and prepare the associated business plans
  • Review and recommend the power distribution business structure, workflow, code of practice and operations and establish best practices.
  • Review the power and water systems regularly and ensure that they are managed in a cost-effective, reliable, safe and stable manner.
  • Support the preparation of the annual capital improvement plans.
  • Review prepared internal reports and provide necessary recommendations on the overall power distribution performance.
  • Support the development of the network expansion plans, operation and maintenance annual plans for all operations across all locations.
  • Proactively and fully support the use of, and compliance with ISO & the HSE standards and system by staff and contractors.

The successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken Arabic & English, demonstrate strong drive for organizational excellence and must have a confident and credible approach, whilst demonstrating the highest level of integrity
