Post Name: ICT Support Assistant
The Department:
The ICT (Information & Communication Technology) Department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s ICT systems and for providing efficient support to all business users. The department is also responsible for resolving any ICT-related faults quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries to enhancing and developing the ICT provision extended within the business.
The Position:
The post holder will provide effective ICT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide support to the ICT Support Engineer and ICT Manager. The post holder is responsible for supporting and maintaining Hardware, Software and peripherals and Stock rooms. The position provides exposure to a broad range of ICT-related projects and activities. This role reports to the ICT Support Engineer and ICT Manager.
Duties / Responsibility:

• Escalate ICT issues to the ICT Support Engineer and ICT Manager where necessary
• Responsible for managing backups
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the ICT Support Engineer and ICT Manager
• Responsible to manage inventory of ICT and stationary items.
• Provide desktop and support
• Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops and phones
• Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops
• Reporting faults and maintaining logs
• Ensure all logs for equipment and users are maintained
• Creating purchase requisitions for ICT hardware/software/consumables
• Ensuring all consumables purchased are maintained
• Replace other colleagues in absence or leave.
• Additional duties in line with above responsibilities and tasks.
  Other Duties / Responsibility:

• Prepare manuals, documents, meeting materials and correspondence
• Perform basic administrative support duties as required to meet specific operational objectives
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the ICT Support Engineer and ICT Manager
• Work extra hours to meet deadlines, as required and where reasonable
• Provide assistance and support to colleagues in ICT-related team
• Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers
  Special Requirements:

• Adhere to company protocol as laid out in the Company Policy and Procedures
• Additional responsibilities as requested by the ICT Support Engineer and ICT Manager.
