CAAF Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji has a vacancy for the position of Flight Operations Inspector (Float Plane & General Aviation).

Duties & Responsibilities:

The incumbent reports to the Senior Flight Operations Inspector (Domestic Operations) and is responsible for the oversight of Floatplane. Private Aircraft. RPAS/UAV. Micro light/Ultra light, Glider, Kite, Balloon, Parachute, hobby and RC Aircraft operators activities in Fiji to ensure compliance and conformance with ICAO standards and principles. Fiji Principal acts and regulations. ISO 9001:2008 standards and principles and where appropriate, alignment with other state regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualification and Requirements:

A Current ATPL or CPL with multi-engine command instrument rating with a pass in all ATPL subjects and/or a minimum of 5,000 hours as PIC on Multi Engine turboprop aircraft OR a current CPL with a minimum of 3,000 hours as PIC on Float Planes and Amphibious aircraft. The incumbent must have extensive experience as Pilot in Command in multi-engine turboprop aircraft and/or hold type rating on Cessna C206 DHC2. DHC3T and DHC6 float planes with training and checking background. Held check and training approval on float planes and amphibious aircraft with an airline. Have RPAS/UAV, Micro light / Ultra light. Glider, Kite. Balloon Operations. Parachute. Hobby and RC Aircraft qualifications and experience Have regulatory inspectorate experience of 2 years to 5 years or Industry
Experience
of
10 years and have held Senior Management positions. Experience in developing flight operations standards and documentation will be an advantage Detailed knowledge of the Fiji Air Navigation Regulations. CAAF Standards Documents SD). ICAO Annexes and other relevant standards, regulations and procedures. Effective communication and leadership skills and ability to work in a team.

Remuneration: Salary and other terms and conditions which will be on an individual contract basis will be discussed with the prospective candidates during the interview.
