At Central Bedfordshire Council, we want every individual we support to get the highest standard of care possible. By giving older people control in the quality of their life, we’re making Central Bedfordshire a great place to live for all.
Central Bedfordshire Council seeking for Support Worker Domiciliary Care
Post Name: Support Worker Domiciliary Care
Salary: £17,007 – £17,391 per annum pro rata
(£9.16 ph for average 25-hour contract)
Job type: Part-time, permanent, 25 hours per week
– As a Support Worker, you’ll be working directly with our customers across the county. You’ll find your greatness as you make sure vulnerable people are safe, well and happy.
– In this vital role, you’ll be directly involved in the support of older people based on their own individual needs, with the aim being to promote their well being, while allowing them to live as independent of a life as possible.
– You’ll need to have a genuine interest in helping people to maintain their quality of life and independence regardless of the potential barriers they face. You must be patient, kind and sympathetic to the difficulties they face.
– You’ll provide companionship, personal care, assistance with medication, meal preparation and light domestic duties.
– You’ll feel comfortable working alone, and have great communication and people skills. But above all, you’ll be a natural carer.
– While an NVQ is desirable, experience caring for people is more important and we can help you work towards a qualification – so as you’re helping others, you’ll also be getting qualified.
– Join us, and you will have the chance to build your skills with high quality training. Even better, you’ll find your greatness taking care of older people and enhancing their well being.
– Contact Debbie Stone on 0300 300 4759 for an informal discussion.
