Post Name: Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:

• Upkeep, repair and maintain all mechanical equipment at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
• Manage subcontractors and liaise with clients/consultants
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance work according to schedule and ensure the timely completion of all activities
• Monitor and manage all site activities to ensure smooth operation at the WTP
• Manage and coordinate all mechanical and electrical repair and installation works in accordance with technical requirements and specifications
• Prepare and coordinate with fitters and general workers on repair/maintenance works, making good all equipment including pumping equipment, generator sets, pipelines and fitting and closing equipment
• Prepare the scope of work of repairs and maintenance including providing technical specifications, lay out the terms and conditions and verify works and payments
  Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related technical field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the water/wastewater related industry
• Able to plan, organize and lead a team of technical field staff
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able to work independently
• Computer literate
• Exposure and experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment plants is an advantage
• Successful candidates will be based full-time at Kg. Lawa Gadong Water Treatment Plant. Beaufort, Sabah
