UNC Greensboro picturesque campus includes more than 30 academic buildings, 30 residence buildings, and athletic facilities on more than 200 acres. UNC Greensboro the Facilities Design and Construction is seeking to hire a Licensed Architect with primary functions and responsibilities to provide overall planning, design and construction of both new and renovation capital improvement projects. Through assessment of existing facilities and direction from senior administrative officers, manage the budgeting during the design and construction phases. Post Name: Architectural Project Manager for Capital Projects

This position manages and coordinates the design process, programming, and construction with the end users, the designers, and the contractors. Assure that the University obtains what is needed, is of the quality desired, and that projects are designed within the determined time frame and budget. Projects will be $300,000 and greater. This position will provide continuity during the project’s design and construction phases to exemplify UNCG’s instructional goals of Expertise, Accountability, Customer-Oriented, Team-Oriented, and Compliance & Integrity in their work.

A minimum of 7 years’ experience is highly preferred. Must be a licensed professional in North Carolina. Candidates with a current NCARB certification and the ability to obtain a license to practice architecture by the North Carolina Board of Architecture may be considered. License will need to be obtained before employment can start. The University desires experience in institutional or State projects, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
