Waypoints Outpatient Services. North Simcoe Family Health Team. Chigamik and Enaahtig are currently seeking CBT Therapists. The purpose of these positions is to plan, conduct and deliver a program of| individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for adults with depressive and anxiety disorders, and participate in a program evaluation in consultation with the CBT Psychologist.

Employees hired by Waypoint will fall under the OPSEU bargaining group and will be have the following rates of pay:
RN: $36.95 – $44.67
SW: $36.26-$44.66
OT: $40.20-$45.59
Registered Psychotherapist: Under Review:
All other positions will be non-union and compensation will commensurate with experience. Positions with Enaahtig will provide services to the indigenous population and applicants are asked to highlight any experience with this population. Positions with Chigamik will provide services to the indigenous and/or francophone populations and applicants are asked to highlight any experience with these populations.
Key Account abilities:
* Conducting assessments (PHQ-9. GAD-7) to inform individualized treatment plans
* Facilitate group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) utilizing evidence-based approaches
* Provide individual evidence-based CBT treatment
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports
*Collaborate with team members in provision of care
* Contribute to program development and program evaluation
* Consulting with other professionals who are providing CBT to adults with depressive and anxiety disorders
* **It is anticipated that the incumbent will provide services to a minimum of 4 patients/ clients per day.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in Psychology and must be registered as a member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the delivery of evidence-based CBT with evidence that they received formal CBT training and appropriate supervision
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of etiology and treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders as well as CBT and its application in mood and anxiety disorders
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the science and practices of psychotherapy including a full range of psychotherapeutic and assessment techniques
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of diagnostic categories and criteria as listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V)
  • Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
  • Strong assessment skills to deliver and interpret diagnostic tools
  • Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to adapt readily to change
  • Models & promotes core ethical practice, organization’s values, and reflects an optimistic & positive attitude
  • Proficiency in French/English language skills is considered an asset
