Glen Eira City Council has several opportunities in our Community Care department for In Home Support Respite Care. Glen Eira City Council works with the community to provide services and resources for the people who live, work and spend their time in Glen Eira. Our respite carers provide practical respite for clients, which may include home based or community support and personal care. These positions provide assistance in a manner which promotes the independence and dignity of our clients, their families and carers.
At Council we value both our staff and our residents and as such we are looking for people who are reliable with excellent communication skills and who are in good physical fitness. If this role sounds interesting to you, we invite you to please read through the position description.

Successful applicants must have:
Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability Work), Certificate III in Community and Health Services (Personal Carer), RN (Division 2), or equivalent.
Good physical fitness
Own a vehicle and have a current Victorian driver’s licence
Current Working With Children Check
Applicants must be willing to undergo both a police check and a work based medical.
