We are recruiting a Grant Support Assistant to join the Directorate team, working within a large cross-institute project. For an initial period of approximately 3 years this position will be fully-funded through an institute-wide grant that is already in place
Applicants will have a good standard of general education including Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent / relevant experience
The appointment necessitates a high degree of autonomy, initiative and attention to detail. Applicants will have had experience of working within financial administration and have a comprehensive understanding of financial spreadsheets in Excel and databases.
The successful candidate will be able to set priorities and manage workloads in order to meet deadlines. Applicants should be able to demonstrate successful administrative experience.
He/she will have excellent communication and numeracy skills in order to assist with tracking budgets and managing all aspects of sub contracts using an IDS database. The applicant will have experience of coding and submitting expenses and sub-contracts whilst tracking against the overall budget and ensuring funds are available.
Please note that this post does not meet the UK Home Office requirements for work permit criteria, therefore we will be unable to recruit applicants who do not have the right to live and work in the UK.
£19,721 – £22,700 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience
