MMG’s inaugural mine development project, Dugald River, is a world-class zinc-lead-silver deposit located in north-west Queensland. With a development capital expenditure in excess of AUD1,400M, the scope of the project includes a two million tonne per year underground mine with twin decline access and conventional long hole and bench stoping; fine grinding and flotation circuits and a combination of existing and developed rail, storage and ship loading facilities.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Delivery Manager – Infrastructure to be part of this exciting chapter, successfully developing the Dugald River underground mine project in North-West Queensland. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for and lead a team of Area Managers spanning civil infrastructure, site accommodation, non-process buildings and offsite infrastructure, to ensure delivery of an optimal mine operation. You will manage scope, budget and schedule, ensuring the delivery of the project infrastructure is coordinated with the overall project schedule including all procurement, contract and construction activities.

As a successful incumbent you will ensure the project delivery plan is in alignment with other aspects of the delivery model i.e. that the engineering, procurement and construction plans are in alignment and delivery of the project objectives.

As a successful candidate, you will be an experienced Senior Project Manager within the EPC or EPCM contracting environments and previously successfully delivered infrastructure within the mining industry.

You will have a focus on safety and risk management with proven capability in these critical facets of project management. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and strong commercial acumen. Important to the role, is your practical experience in managing a project team in the development of a medium scale mining project. Experience in field and office project management in the construction and commissioning of a range of medium scale mining projects is necessary. Essential to the role is your demonstrated experience within a similar role and a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

This role is Brisbane based working a standard 5-day week. There will be a need for regular travel between Brisbane and Site. The employment basis will be contract hire, engaged via an agency provider to MMG.
