The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) is a government owned company acting as the single Buyer of power and water from all Independent Power Projects and Independent Power and Water Projects (IPP/IWPP projects) within the Sultanate of Oman. OPWP is looking for two qualified Omani Nationals to fill the vacant positions of Contract Engineer and Senior IT Analyst. Contract Engineer Code: (CE)

Scope of Responsibility:
Assist Senior Account Engineers in administration of all existing Power (and Water) Purchase Agreements consistent with the terms and conditions set out in the Sector Law and OPWP’s license and handling all related issues.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years technical experience in operation and maintenance of power and desalination plants with preferable experience in contract management.
• Strong report writing.
• Effective communication and analytical skills.
• Strong technical concept/knowledge.

Senior IT Analyst Code:(SITA)

Scope of Responsibility: The Senior IT Analyst will supervise the IT function. The job holder will provide operational and technical support to computer users and interact with external suppliers of technology.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

• Requires Excellent IT skills and Knowledge.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field in IT.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT related roles.
