Position Summary:
The CSR and Sustainability Manager ensures that Pharmavite achieves substantive improvements in its commitment to become a more sustainable and socially responsible company and furthers the Company’s diversity initiatives.
This position coordinates overall environmental efforts; acts as lead staff on specific green and CSR initiatives; is the project lead for the interdisciplinary companywide green team; staffs and leads the Governance Team; represents Pharmavite externally; and manages relationships with external parties and consultants.
This position resides in the Executive Administration Department and will operate cross-functionally with access to many different departments within the company, including HR, IT, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Social Responsibilities –
Serve as internal resource and external representative on CSR issues
Staff and lead Governance Team, whose role is to develop and approve initiatives that further Pharmavite’s CSR commitment. Develop recommendations for committee and executive team where needed.
Create strategy implementation plans and be held accountable for results related to CSR including diversity and sustainability that is consistent with corporate values.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts where needed.
Manage CSR assessment and consulting engagements and other external consultants.
Manage CSR reporting process, working with business units and communications.
Attend conferences, participate in CSR membership organizations, gather and share resources.
Benchmark competition and industry best practices.
Work with HR, Internal communications and Employee Engagement teams to develop internal communications and employee involvement plans as needed. Green/Sustainability Program Responsibilities
Lead the Sustainability Team, which identifies opportunities, makes recommendations to Governance Team, leads adoption within their business units and works collaboratively to enhance Pharmavite’s sustainability commitment.
Work with external communications and other parties to pursue appropriate public relations, marketing, recognition & awards to validate Pharmavite’s efforts.
Lead Governance Team and Sustainability Team in establishing and meeting corporate sustainability goals and metrics. Manage and track goals and metrics.
Work with external consultants as needed (for example, waste audit consultants).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Certification: None
Experience: Minimum 5 years cross-functional, cross-disciplinary project management and business analysis experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Requires:
Excellent project management skills in managing multiple initiatives, and meet budgetary commitments
Ability to build strong, productive relationships and alliances
Entrepreneurial spirit, with ability to understand company strategies and translate them to initiatives related to corporate responsibility and sustainability
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and recognize priorities
Strong presentation and computer skills in Windows Office Suite
Physical Requirements:General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to move about an office.
Environment:Exposure to disagreeable elements is negligible.Safety:Must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Indirect responsibility to guide and assign work of others for one to five employees in cross functional areas (HR, IT, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance).

We currently are seeking a talented QA SUpervisor. This key position will be based in our operations facility (this may change depending on location i.e. operations, distribution etc.) in Valencia, CA (So. CA).
Position Summary:
Assures consistent high quality of products through inspection and product release.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises, trains, and develops staff for physical inspection of components, labels, finished products and routine cGMP’s as appropriate. Monitors productivity in functional areas.
- Oversees the review of product inspection reports and release for distribution.
- Generates and maintains SOP’s and PSM’s for packaging inspection and packaging operations.
- Investigates and reports on customer complaints.
- Investigates and documents non-conformance issues. Determines root cause and implements corrective action.
- Performs on-site vendor audits as well as in-house audits.
- Compiles and distributes appropriate product documentation to customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a four year college degree or its equivalent.
Certification:
Licenses or certifications are not required but are a plus.
Experience:
Requires two to five years experience in quality assurance or related inspection activities preferably in a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires:
- Competent knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, document review, sampling plans and techniques.
- General knowledge of auditing is required. Computer literacy, as well as strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills are also required.
- Attention to detail is a must. Must also have proven supervisory skills.
Physical Requirements:
General packaging and warehousing environment. Ability to work weekends, as required.
Environment:
Exposure to disagreeable elements is moderate.

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
Supervisory Responsibility:
The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for 8 to 15 employees.
