CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS Management Information System

  • Chartered Accountant with 15 yrs. of exp. in Manufacturing/ Steel Industry.
  • Should have lead a team of Rnance and Accounts professionals.
  • Responsible for Development of Management Reporting (MIS).
  • Oversee cost control, Budgeting and Planning.
  • Should be computer literate experience in Oracle ERP and Hyperion.

INSURANCE SPECIALISTS

ROLE PURPOSE: To develop and implement a professional risk management & insurance service covering all Qatar Steel activities, ensuring insurance facilities are secured that offer the most protective conditions.

  • Monitor & continually review the insurance cover for all the company’s capital & human assets, to ensure that the company’s liabilities, Insurance obligations & contractual Insurance requirements are fully covered.
  • Evaluate competitive tenders from Insurers & recommends awarding of business.
  • Initiate & pursue until final settlement all eligible claims through close liaison with the loss adjusters, ensure that the settlement is achieved in accordance with theterms & conditions of the insurance policies
  • Prepare the annual budget covering all insurance premium expenses & submit to the Managerfor approval.
  • Scrutinise all policies to ensure they are issued in line with requirements that the conditions & rates are the most favourable.
  • Monitor developments in the regional and international insurance industry & adopt & implement those that benefit the organization

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelorof Science, Bachelorof Commerce, Bachelor of Arts or PostGraduate.
  • Minimum, 7 years experience in Insurancefield.
  • Good knowledge of Accounting /Finance Standards.

INDUSTRY ANALYSTS

ROLE PURPOSE: To provide commercial and industry analysis support during projects in particular to contribute to QS growth projects.

  • Develop & maintain a comprehensive database with different sources internal / external on supply, demand & pricing for steel product & market application, for MENA plus other regions as necessary.
  • Assist in developing; reviewing long term commercial plans, for management approval, to ensure that project needs are met and marketing data Is available & optimized forthe coming 5 years.
  • Build Qatar Steel’s own view on markets and translate it into estimates during specific feasibility studies/projects.
  • Synthesize market projection from external feasibility/studies, business plans, budgets & any other documents/reports.

QUALIFICATION AND OTHER SKILLS:

  • Bachelor/ Master degree in Engineering.
  • 5-10 years post graduate exp. in consulting or corporate environment, with some knowledge of steel processing

TECHNICAL ANALYSTS

ROLE PURPOSE: To provide technical and operation support In projects from | conceptual phase to implementation to contribute to QS growth projects.

  • Develop technical operational requirement for conceptual and feasibility studies.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing long term plan, for management approval, in order to ensure that operation needs are met and production process availability optimized forthe coming 5 years.
  • Review and compile synthesized reports on subsidiaries’ business plans.
  • Assist in managing discrete projects and support / contribute to larger projects, internal expansion, feasibility study through to implementation In order to ensure that projects are delivered to time.
  • Prepare reports on the full range of technical issues that senior management has sufficient Information to support decision making.

QUALIFICATION & OTHER SKILLS:

  • University degree in Engineering, Master degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years post graduate experience in steel production or similar operating environment.

CHIEF RISK OFFICERS

  • Lead the Risk function, embedding a positive culture of confident & informed risk taking through training, communication & promotion of the riskframework.
  • Provide aggregated & detailed reports on risk in line with the organization’s risk appetites limits
  • Deliver timely advice & guidance on risk issues & risk management strategies & advise on risks relating to new initiatives & majorstrategic decisions
  • Advise senior stakeholders-Executive Leadership and Board – on risk issues & providing strategic decision making advice.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, management economics or finance with MBA, preferably with additional qualifications or training in Enterprise RiskManagement [ERM].
  • Minimum 15 years rich managerial experience with at least 7 to 8 years hands on experience at corporate level in independently managing Risk function preferably in manufacturing ormetals industry.
  • Proficient in most MS office applications & exposure to latest IT operating system.

GENERAL:
Candidates applying for the above mentioned positions must have excellent communication and computer skills. Ability to work independently as pari of the team Planning, Organizing and Problem skills and ability to work on dead lines. Arabic knowledge is an added advantage.

    years of relevant work experience of Risk and claim Management handling of all types of insurance

    policies of a manufacturing/ steel Industry including Medical Insurance. The candidate should also be able

    to manage lenders Insurance interest and requirements.

  • CHIEF RISK OFFICER: An Engineering Graduate with additional qualification in Finance/

    Economics. Trained in Enterprise Risk Management Advice Management and Board. Lead the risk

    function, develop and communicate risk – policies, appetite and limits. Provide guidance and advice on

    risk issues and risk management. Strong commercial and analytical mind-set with ability to identify

    potential business risks and mitigation mechanisms. Should be computer literate, command oyer written

    and verbal communication.

  • INDUSTRY ANALYST: Degree or Masters in Engineering with 8 years post graduate experience hi

    Consulting / Corporate environment with knowledge of Steel Industry. Provide commercial and industry

    analysis. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database with different sources internal/external on

    supply, demand and pricing for steel product and market application, for Men A plus other regions as
    .necessary. Develop a simplified in-house forecasting supply/demand and pricing model. Build own view

    on markets and translate it Into estimates during specific feasibility studies/projects.

  • MECHANICAL ENGINEERS–MAINT (Bar Rolling Mill): B. E. (Mech) 5 yrs Exp. Rolling mi plant

    maintenance of Rotating, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Equipments. Root Cause failure analysis and

    rectification. Replace equipment. Create technical specification and evaluate offers. Assist in smooth

    Erection & Commissioning. Cost control and budgeting. Knowledge of MS Office/ SAP

  • TECHNICAL ANALYST: B. E. / M. E. With 8 years experience in steel production or similar industry

1. UTILITY PROCESS ENGINEERS

  • Qualification : B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 6-10 years experience in the operation and maintenance of the Utilities of Integrated Steel Plants, Direct Reduction plant, Rolling Mill Plants EF / CC Plant Utilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry and international codes & standards for pumps, compressors, Cooling Water System Equipment, Piping material selection and testing.
  • Good knowledge in Water Chemistry and Treatment Application.
  • Experience of Utilities equipment maintenance practice and management is an added advantage.

2. POWER SYSTEM ENGINEERS

  • Qualification: B.E. Electrical Engineering
  • 10 years’ experience in maintenance of HV, MV, GIS and LV equipment like transformer, switchgear, Electrical Protection System, MCC, Battery Charger etc., preferably in a Steel plant or Electricity Power Distribution company.
  • Experience in Power Distribution System as Main Substation and prefer in addtion to be in Electric Arc Furnace and related Flicker Compensation System and High Harmonic Filters and Power System Analysis by using software such as ETAP or EDSA is preferred.

3. CRANE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS

  • Qualification : Bachelor of Science / Engineering
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of Electrical Maintenance and Repair work of OHT / EOT Cranes.
  • Responsibilities: The candidate must possess sound knowledge of the procedures and applications in a steel making industry or any heavy Engineering Industry.
  • He must be conversant with the Thermo dynamics, Electro Dynamics and the electrical aspects of Crane machineries and familiar with the international standards.
  • The candidate should possess enough experience to demonstrate engineering and practical knowledge of the Crane electronic & computerized drives, designs and standards.
  • Air-conditioning and cooling systems, Risk & Failure analysis, motor insulations, winding, overhauling etc…
  • The candidate will undertake the maintenance works of scheduled and the preventive maintenance activities of the electrical machineries of the crane, Annual Inspection & Fitness certification.
  • Budget preparation & control Materials planning & Procurement & Performance management.

MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
4. MILLWRIGHTS

  • Experience in Steel Plant or Chemical Process Plant.
  • Experience in Preventive Maintenance of rotating equipment – gear box, compressors & pumps, hydraulic system, abiity to do troubleshooting.

5. CRANE REPAIRMEN (Mechanical / Electrical)

  • Carry out inspection and maintenance of EOT Crane, both Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Experience In Central workshop services for Steel Plants.

6. PLANT ELECTRICIANS

  • Work experience in steel melting plant preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC, Drives, Motors, Circuit Breaker, Schematic Diagrams, Soft Starters and Field Devices, Troubleshooting & Maintenance.

7. UTILITY SYSTEM OPERATORS AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

  • Experience in Compressed Air station, Natural Gas receiving station, Water Pumping station of an Integrated steel plant.
  • Knowledge of basic water chemistry, pump operation and control, compressor and control.

STEEL MAKING DEPARTMENT
8. CASTERS

  • Knowledge and understanding of both equipment and process operation and safety procedures and standards.
  • Technical Diploma / equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in operation of Continuous Casting Section.

9. MELTERS

  • Work with crew in preparing operating and repairing an Electric Arc Furnace.
  • Perform general clean up of furnace unit & make necessary additions.
  • Minimum 3 years in Steel making field.
  • Preferable experience with DRI melting and ladle furnace treatment.

10. MOULD TECHNICIANS

  • Carry out mould preparation activities on daily basis.
  • Control spares and consumables.
  • Well versed with Safety, Environment and Quality procedures and standards on monthly and yearly basis.
  • Responsible for the statistical report preparation for material planning, quick view.
  • Technical Diploma
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Steel Plant CC mould preparation.
