Position Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Maintenance Technician, Class II is a skilled craftsman whose primary responsibility is to maintain and inspect welding, positioning, machine tool and rolling stock machinery. The Maintenance Technician skill set includes preventive maintenance as well as general maintenance of facility grounds keeping, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Material handling
Perform preventive maintenance on welding, CNC lathes, mills, cranes, welding power supplies and positioners as well as rolling stock.
Working with supervision to repair machine equipment, fabrication equipment and rolling stock.
Responsible for the general maintenance of the interior and exterior condition of the buildings including minor repairs and painting (Changing filters, light bulbs, grounds keeping).
Overseeing of the cleaning service and cleaning supplies (ordering and stocking).
Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain plumbing fixtures in heating, water, sewer, air, hydraulic and drainage systems.
Understand and execute verbal instructions.
Read, understand and execute written instructions.
Operate a forklift and other vehicles safely
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
Fluent in English both reading and writing
2 – 5 years experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of electrical, plumbing and machinery
Have the ability to take instructions from supervision and get delegated duties completed as instructed
Have the ability to communicate and understand what they have been instructed to do
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work flexible hours
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Must be able to pass an extensive background check and physical
Must be dependable and trustworthy
