Library & Student Services wishes to recruit a Central Services Assistant to work in Bibliographic Services under the supervision of the Bibliographic Services Librarian and within the LSS Central Services team.
You will assist with the effective operation of the acquisitions processes of the University Library and be responsible for a number of duties within Central Services.
You should be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent, possess excellent interpersonal skills including an ability to communicate directly with non-technical users. Experience of IT systems and applications such as Windows is essential as is the ability to work effectively on several tasks at the same time.
With a pleasant, efficient manner you will be able to respond effectively under pressure. Experience of working in an office environment is essential; previous library experience would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be given.

We currently have a vacancy for a full time Finance Systems Officer.
Key responsibilities will include supporting the implementation and development of new and existing finance systems across the business whilst providing effective and timely solutions for user queries. The Finance Systems Officer will carry out systems maintenance and testing; deliver user training and support staff across a diverse range of disciplines. Alongside the technical aspects in the role, an emphasis is placed on process improvement; data integrity and working with the Systems Manager to ensure the Finance/Business systems continue to meet the needs of the business.
The ideal candidates will have a good working knowledge of the Agresso financial system and will have experience of service delivery to a variety of users spread across multiple locations.
