Job overview:
The Health and Applied Social Sciences Department is seeking to recruit a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Applied Pharmacology. Reporting to the Associate Head of Department, you will, in addition to teaching, lead and participate in the design and development of modules, including student assessment, research and professional practice in the area of nursing and midwifery.

Key selection criteria:
Registered pharmacist or registered nurse, with a qualification in pharmacology
Have current knowledge and experience of pharmacology and related prescribing practice, with a focus on applied pharmacology
Previous experience of teaching in Higher/ Further/ Continuing Education/ Clinical Practice

QUALIFICATIONS
A Post Graduate certificate / diploma or Master’s degree in nursing or a health or education related subject, or currently studying towards one

Desirable:
Hold a recognised teacher’s qualification or be willing to study for one

Salary band: £30,424 – £45,941
