Bedfordshire Fire Post Name:- Application Support and Configuration Specialist

Working Time:- 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday flexitime)

Salary:- £36,876 per annum rising to £40,760

The role of Application Support and Configuration Specialist involves providing system support for existing and new applications across the service. Development and maintenance of the HR/Payroll Information System (HRIS) (MHR iTrent and SAP Business Objects) ensuring the system is configured correctly, maximizing reporting capabilities, applying enhancements and upgrades to optimist functional capability and statutory obligations.

The essential criteria for the role of the Application Support and Configuration Specialist includes good qualifications in literacy and numeracy. In depth experience of configuring and maintaining HR Systems including the use of user-defined forms, building of process chains, workflows, batch scheduling, analysing, manipulating and structuring data to create meaningful reports in SAP Business Objects. Writing user acceptance testing scripts, undertaking system testing and upgrades impact analysis. The use of good communication skills to provide advice, guidance, system support and coaching of others.
