Post Name: Senior Building Surveyor – Building Policy

Position No: BC1042

– We are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to be involved in the implementation of building development policy, providing specialist Building Code of Australia and legislative support to customers and contributing to fire safety and un authorised development responsibilities. Tasks include issuing notices and orders in accordance with relevant legislation, conducting fire safety audits and assessing annual fire safety statements, assessing applications under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, assessing the Development Services Unit and assessing social impact functions under the Liquor Act 2007 and Licensed Clubs 1976.
– There will be alcohol, drug and random testing during the pre- employment phase.
– You must have a Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent, minimum three years of relevant work experience, accreditation or eligibility for accreditation under the Building Professionals Act 2005 Accreditation Scheme as a minimum Category A2 – Building Surveyor Grade 2 and a Driver’s Licence. Experience with Technology One would be advantageous.

Salary Range:- $1,652.20 to $1,850.50 pw (Grade 15). 35-hour working week, leaseback vehicle, leave entitlements. 9.5% employee superannuation contribution, gym membership discounts and more
