Senior Asphalt Supervisor, Foreman, Sales jobs at Colas

Post name: Senior Asphalt Supervisor / Project Manager:
The position will be responsible to supervise and coordinate spreading, rolling, and tamping asphalt ensuring all specifications and quality parameters are achieved in a safe and cost efficient manner. The successful candidate will ensure that the works are carried out. Maximizing profits to the programme and specification requirements, and in accordance with the Company’s Safety, Health & Environment Policy.
Person & Skills:
The successful applicant should have working knowledge of asphalt surfacing operations, specifications, transport logistics & operational needs, good communication skills and understanding of various conditions of contract. Native Arabic speakers are encouraged to apply for this position.
Qualification & Experience:
The successful applicant should have a Civil Engineering background with preferably relevant Asphalt Qualification At least 10 years operational / supervisory or managerial experience in asphalt contracting operations with up to date knowledge and understanding of Safety Health and Environmental matters.

Colas Post name: Quantity Surveyor
The position will be responsible for undertaking measurement and preparing valuations with a view to maximizing returns under the provisions of the Contract Conditions and Company procedures. The successful candidate will also record, monitor and review the financial performance of contracts. The position will also be responsible to secure payments from customers with in the specified contract terms and manage payment of sub-contractors.
Person & Skills:
The successful applicant should have worked in Road / Infrastructure projects operating in an Internal Sales’ capacity with knowledge of the FIDC Red Book Sufficient knowledge of the Quantity Take off and Invoicing to ensure contract compliance and values maximized will be expected from a successful candidate.
Qualification & Experience:
The successful applicant should have a Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering qualification. At least 7 to 10 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in Road Contracting industry.

Post name: Asphalt Laying Foreman
The position will be responsible to supervise and coordinate activities of asphalt laying crews and subcontractors who are engaged in spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt to form surfaces of roads .The successful candidate will be responsible to plan, lead, organize and control production targets and costs of daily asphalt laying operations ensuring that the Company Safety. Health & Environment policies and procedures are always complied.
Person & Skills
The successful applicant should have working knowledge of asphalt surfacing operations, specifications, transport logistics & operational needs, good communication skills and understanding of various risks associated with the laying.
Qualification & Experience:
The successful applicant should have a civil Engineering background with at least 3 to 5 years with experience in infrastructure projects with mandatory pavement experience and up to date knowledge and understanding of Safety Health and Environmental matters.

Post name: Sales – Aggregates, Asphalt & Emulsions (Two (2) positions i.e. one based in Sohar & one based in Duqm).
The position will be responsible for maintaining and improving relationships with existing customers and to grow (new business) / customer base in the Sohar & Duqm areas in Oman. The successful incumbents will have to handle all customer requirements in terms of completing quotations, handling complaints, ensuring dispatch information is received from the customer, maintain the monthly order bank document, resolve invoice discrepancies.
Person & Skills
The successful applicant should have at least 2 to 5 years’ experience selling asphalt, aggregates in a large construction company based in Oman.
Qualification & Experience
A bachelor degree holder with good computer skills and a valid driving license.
