Accountant / Assistant Accountant Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial statement and monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance of statutory requirements, company policies and procedures, and accounting standards.
• Continuous improvement in financial reporting processes.
• Handle treasury matters and cash flow planning.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns, including SST returns.
• Liaise with authorities, external auditors and bankers on finance related issues.
• Develop and implement appropriate internal controls, including management of stock/inventory to minimize wastage/ pilferage and other losses.
• Assist in preparation of Budget.
• Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Accountant / Assistant Accountant Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting of equivalent.
• Member of accountancy professional bodies e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in relevant field.
• Must have experience with MFRS reporting framework and familiar with consolidation, reconciliation and other analysis reporting tools.
• Candidates with experience in auditing or taxation from Big 4 are encouraged to apply.
• Strong financial analysis and presentation skill, problem solving, communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Experience in retail industry is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and able to observe confidentially.
