Ginger and Coconut Development Sdn Bhd are inviting suitably qualified local candidates to fill in the following position:-

Post Name:- Technician, Mud Crab Hatchery

•  Minimum 2 years working experience as technician in a mud crab hatchery
•  Qualification and / or relevant experience in aquaculture
• Competent in spoken and written English language
• Trade skills (e.g. construction, plumbing)

Job Description:-

•  Assist In the operation and maintenance of a successful mud crab hatchery and nursery.
•  Undertake all mud crab hatchery operations Including broodstock husbandry, larval rearing, water quality monitoring, live feeds and nursery production.
• Assist In the monitoring, reporting, planning and administration of hatchery.
• Contribute to the design, planning, purchase and construction of facilities for the mud crab hatchery and nursery as directed by G&C.
• Liaise with company staff, contract farmers and the general public as necessary to further the development of the G&C.
• Ensure that Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards are followed on site during construction, operation and maintenance of any equipment and ensure that all local standards, regulations and requirements are also compiled with.
• Maintain records, receipts, and paperwork as appropriate for any work undertaken on behalf of G&C as directed by senior management.
• Meet or exceed the performance criteria mutually agreed to each year.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time as directed by G&C.
