We are currently recruiting for a Woodlands Accountant, for our Adams Lake office in Chase, BC. The Woodlands Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate, concise and effective financial recording and reporting to management.

What You’ll Do

• Assistant to the Divisional Accountant
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements for Woodlands Operations
• Production, Sales, and Inventory entries, tracking, and reporting
• Interpret and execute logging contracts, review and approve contractor payables
• Review and approve contractor advances, and accounts payable
• Calculate and reconcile stumpage accruals
• Statistical volume entries
• Balance Sheet reconciliations, reviews and analysis
• Calculate log inventory valuations
• Assist with budget and forecast preparation

What You Offer:

1.  2+ years of woodlands or operational accounting experience is preferred
2. CPA designation or equivalent education and experience, or actively working towards a CPA designation
3. Forest industry experience would be beneficial
4. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
5. High level of attention to detail and accuracy
6. Strong reporting and analytical skills (budget, actual and variance analysis)
7. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
8. Self-motivated to work independently
9. Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
