Join our culinary team at Kokomo Private Island Fiji, an exquisite tropical paradise located on the breathtaking Yaukuve Levu Island in Kadavu. We are currently seeking talented individuals to fill the following positions:

Commis, Demi Chefs, Chief Steward Job Vacancies at Kokomo Private Island Resort

Post Name: 1. Commis Chef – 2 positions

Responsibilities:-

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Requirements:-

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong work ethic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Physically fit, effective team player and well-presented with an excellent attitude.
• Must maintain the highest standards of personal conduct, friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness in dealing with guests.
• Fire Warden, First Aid & OHS Certification is desirable.

Post Name: 2. Demi Chef – 1 position

Responsibilities:-

• Assist in food preparation and cooking.
• Contribute to menu planning and development.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Ensure high-quality and visually appealing presentation of dishes.

Requirements:-

• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fire Warden, First Aid & OHS Certification is desirable.

Post Name: 3. Chief Steward – 1 position

Responsibilities:-

• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all areas within the resort.
• Manage and train the stewarding team.
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Requirements:-

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the similar role.
• Knowledge of ECOLAB products and Fiji Chemical procedures
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean police record.
• Fire Warden, First Aid & OHS Certification is desirable.
