KoKomo Resort are looking to recruit an Engineering Supervisor to be based at Kokomo Private Island, Kadavu, who will support the maintenance operation for the interior and exterior facilities of the resort.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

•  Maintain all distribution systems for electricity, water, fuel, gas, etc.
• Maintain and operate HVAC systems.
• Maintain and carry continuous inspection on buildings and grounds.
• Ensure timely response to service requests by guests, employees, and management to repair or replace interior fixture or furnishings.
• Assist to implement an effective preventive maintenance program in accordance with professional engineering practices.
• Implement energy management program, maintain appropriate equipment operating logbook and utility consumption records.
• Ensure adequate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
• Train and supervise subordinates and assists training for other employees on safety and emergency.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
• Perform other duties assigned from time to time.
• Checks and communicates with all the various section heads regarding engineering and maintenance requirements as and when required.
• To prevent breakdowns, to maintain and extend the life of machinery and material.
• Maintain a close working relationship with all departments especially Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B.
• Handles job orders promptly for the installation, repairs and maintenance of all operating equipment as raised by the respective departments.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:-

•  Good personality, mature and a team player as well as able to work under pressure.
• Must be able to analyses problems and make thoughtful decisions.
• At least 3-5 years in 5 or 6 star properties preferably remote Island location.
• Relevant qualification in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil or equivalent.
• Familiar with Desalt Plant and STP operations & preventative maintenance procedures.
• Must be able to operate and maintain CAT diesel generators.
• Possess a wireman’s license.
