Job Vacancies for Executive Civil Engineer at Konsultan Timur Bersekutu Sdn Bhd

We are an established engineering firm based in Kuching. We seek suitable candidates for the following position:

Post Name: Accounts Executive (to be based in Kuching)
Job Description:

• To oversee full set of accounts of the Firm and its affiliates;
• To utilise Office for Windows in reports and documents preparation;
• To liaise with governmental agencies and financial institutions on statutory and banking matters;
• To liaise with tax agent, external auditor and company secretary on the Firm’s and its affiliates’ taxation, auditing and
  secretarial matters;
• To liaise with the Firm’s and its affiliates’ creditors/suppliers on payment related matters;
• To perform the Firm’s and its affiliates’ monthly bank reconciliations;
• To do timely preparation of cheques and payment vouchers, as well as receiving vouchers and bank deposit slips;
• To ensure Service Tax forms are filled correctly and submitted on time with tax return payments to Royal Malaysian Customs
  Department (RMCD)
• To perform year-end finalizing of accounts with coordinated liaison of appointed external management services, audit firm and tax agent for the Firm and its affiliates;
• Any other duties as and when assigned

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent;
• Must be computer literate and have a good knowledge in Microsoft Windows (Excel, Word and Accounting Software);
• Good in both written and spoken English;
• Experiences and knowledge of bookkeeping would be an advantage.

Post Name: Civil Engineer (to be based in Kuching)
Job Description:
To assist the project team to ensure the design team functions run smoothly and reliably. Duties may involve design, planning, implementation, quality and progress.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent;
• At least 2 years of experience in design and preferably registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia;
• Working knowledge of computers and the use of computers for analysis (ACAD, Geoslope & etc.);
• Has initiative, hardworking, able to work independently and willing to travel throughout Sarawak;
• Good in both written and spoken English.
