OSPRI is a non-profit organization which operates in partnership with New Zealand’s primary industries and government to achieve on-farm biosecurity objectives through animal disease management and traceability. They work closely with shareholders. Beef and Lamb New Zealand. Dairy NZ. Deer Industry New Zealand and the Ministry for Primary Industries, and range of Maori stakeholders.
Significant and exciting changes have been made to establish a strategically focused, collaborative, and forward-thinking organisation with a strong emphasis on stakeholder partnerships. You will enable and support OSPRI to facilitate and develop strategic partnerships with Iwi, Maori Trusts and Maori whenua owners and provide strategic advice and support to lift capability of Regional Services Teams and Partners.

This role requires an experienced principal advisor with the following skills:

• Proven ability to think strategically and positively influence others to achieve outcomes.
• Proven ability to successfully navigate, and foster Maori and Iwi relationships in a collaborative way.
• Good understanding of and experience in working with Iwi and Maori organisations and governance structures and processes.
• The ability to make things happen while balancing the need to build and maintain strong relationships in a dynamic cultural and political environment.
• Strong knowledge of Tikanga and Te Ao Maori.
