Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort job vacancy for Director of Sales

Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Fijis leading resort is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the portion of Director of Sales. This is an executive role within the resort and reports to the General Manager and Area Director of Sales and Marketing.
As a Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the effective management and performance of all Sales & Marketing related activities. This includes leading the on-property sales team to ensure that the sales functions are completed to the highest standard.

The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties:-

•  A flawless communicator, with a dynamic personality and exceptional personal presentation.
•  A natural leader with the ability to lead a small learn to achieve pre- determined sales targets and goals. The sales team is responsible for all resort collateral responding to sales enquiries in a timely manner as well as hosting or facilitating site inspections for local and international media, travel partners and VIP guests.
• The ability to grow business with a relationship approach to sales. This includes building relationships with local inbound operators, international wholesalers, industry stakeholders and Fiji based corporate business houses.
• The ability to network and represent the resort at events, meetings, functions and at times on international trade shows and international site visits.
• An excellent eye for detail and the ability to review all resort sales collateral.
• A solid understanding of the wedding market would be an advantage.
• A sound knowledge of the travel industry and current market trends.
• The ability to compile and report on statistical sales data to ensure sales efforts is maximized.
• Team player and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Qualification and skills candidate must possess:

•  Proof of previous sales success with at least five years experience in this field.
•  Tertiary qualification in a related field would be an advantage.
• Applicant should have a valid passport and group 2 drivers’ license
