Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager; the primary purpose of this role is to provide engineering expertise.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Engineer will provide engineering expertise to the team from working on drawings to validation of new assets in the system. This role includes the following responsibilities:-

• Design concepts;
• Preparation of construction drawings;
• Being the focal point of contact between third parties (i.e. engineering consultants, contractors, suppliers and management);
• Compliance with HSSE standards and engineering procedures.
• Planning and costing build up.
• Tracking budgets and payments.

Qualifications, Competence & Experience:

It is desirable that the applicant has:

• A recognized university Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil or equivalent).
• At least 2 to 3 years’ work experience in the oil industry or in a relevant field.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Project and Word.
• Ability to prepare & present project presentations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work well in a team with good organization skills and able to multi-task to meet strict deadlines.
