Pertama Ferroalloys is seeking Ferroalloys Production Manufacturing Specialist

Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd is the first Manganese Ferroalloy plant to be built in Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu. The plant occupies a total area of 180h.a and is expected to start production in second quarter of 2015. We expect to reach full production capacity of 350,000 tonnes per annum in fourth quarter of 2016. The end-products will be also for the local market and exported to world-wide countries like Korea, Japan, Europe, U.S. etc. To cope with our business development, we are now inviting high calibre candidates to be part of the pioneer group.
We are seeking for suitable candidates to fill in the following posts:

Ferroalloys Production Manufacturing Specialist job vacancies at Pertama Ferroalloys

01. Post Name: Ferroalloys Production Specialist (1 Vacancy)
Responsibilities: –

• Responsible for the overall design content from concept through to delivery into manufacture, using innovative engineering skills to ensure seamless integration.
• Leads technical consultancy assignments which involve specialists from various disciplines, and takes responsibility for the quality, timely delivery and appropriateness of the team’s recommendations.
• Participates in peer reviews of deliverables and carries out formal and informal reviews of technical designs, standards, documentation and/or implementations.
• Coaches and leads others in acquiring knowledge, provides expert advice and technical skills to Production Management Team.

Requirements for Ferroalloys Production Specialist:-

• Bachelor Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Professional Qualification.
• At least 7 years working experience in Ferro Silicon, Silicon Manganese and Ferro Manganese Industry.

02. Post Name: Ferroalloys Manufacturing Specialist (1 Vacancy)
Responsibilities: –

• Recognizes opportunities for business change, communicates them persuasively to Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd and its shareholders.
• To provide specific technical expertise for design projects, with responsibility for the planning and deployment of the design of specific new equipment, technologies, components and the integration with existing equipment / system.
• Drive the technical activity (design, build, testing) in a significant or complex re-design and plant improvement projects.
• Lead Maintenance Team to ensure equipment are operated effectively and according to recognized standards and safety procedures.
• Assists day to day in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommends smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) solutions.
• Coaches and leads others in acquiring knowledge, provides expert advice and technical skills to Production Management Team and Engineering Management Team.

Requirements for Ferroalloys Manufacturing Specialist:-

• Bachelor Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Professional Qualification.
• At least 10 years working experience in Ferro Silicon, Silicon Manganese and Ferro Manganese Industry.

All the positions above require written & spoken proficiancies in English.

The positions will be based in Samalaju Industrial Park, Bintulu.
