Presbyterian Ladies’ College PLC Sydney is one of Australia’s oldest and most respected schools for girls. PLC Sydney is a day and boarding school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.

The PLC Pathways Program is being established to provide training and mentoring to teachers in China, in the first instance, so that they can effectively deliver teaching of their students in China of NSW HSC subjects, undertaken in English. All communications will be in English.

The HSC subjects for which we are seeking experienced teachers are:

• English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD)
• Business Studies
• Chinese and Literature
• Mathematics, including Extension 1
• Physics
• Visual Arts

Applicants are expected to:

• Have a thorough understanding of, and experience with, the requirements of HSC courses
• Have proven experience in teaching HSC courses
• Possess excellent administration, organization and interpersonal skills
• Have an ability and willingness to deal respectfully and effectively with a wide variety of people from a number of different cultural groups
• Be extremely proficient in the delivery of online teaching

Development of course materials will commence in Term 4, 2020 ready for implementation in Term 1, 2021.

This is a 0.2 allocation position, PLC Sydney is a Bands system school.
