The Role:-
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this rote is accountable for assisting in all daily, weekly and monthly accounting requirements as well as ensuring compliance with all accounting and reporting obligations in line with company policies and applicable accounting standards. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  •  Input of receipts and payments into the financial systems;
  • Assist in managing all credit and installment billing activities of QBE in accordance with established policies and procedures;
  • Accurate & Timely payment of expenses and other office costs (non-claims related);
  • Assisting with month end accounting procedures and with the production of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required, this will include but not limited to maintaining the Fixed Asset Register. Bank Reconciliation VAT Returns. GL Reconciliation, and Statutory Returns;
  • Prepare Management Reports and will be required to assist during Statutory Audits; and
  • Any other duties as directed from time to time.

The successful candidate will have completed a tertiary qualification in an accounting/finance or related business disciplines. Applicants must have:-

  • English language proficiency, excellent interpersonal skills with a “can do” attitude;
  • Have a keen eye for attention to detail;
  • Be able to work independently and under pressure when required;
  • A Team player, who is able to respect team dynamics and drive a good working relationship with peers;
  • Basic computer skills including operating knowledge of MS suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet Explorer and Access;
