Post Name: Deputy Heads Of Primary
As part of a restructure in our Primary School, we are seeking to appoint two energetic Deputy Heads of Primary from the start of 2021: a Deputy Head of Primary (Teaching and Learning) and a Deputy Head of Primary (Student Wellbeing). Each Deputy will report directly to the Head of Primary and, in addition to their specific leadership roles, they will also contribute to the broader educational leadership of the Primary School. The successful candidates for both roles will first and foremost be accomplished and skilled classroom teachers and each will have a teaching load of 0.3 – 0.4.

Deputy Head of Primary (Teaching and Learning)
The Deputy Head of Primary (Teaching and Learning) will have significant expertise and experience in applying a diverse range of contemporary teaching and learning practices to the classroom. They will be responsible for teaching and learning across K-6 as well as the ongoing development, monitoring, implementation, and refinement of our programs. The successful candidate will be an effective team member and also have the necessary leadership skills and experience required to implement curriculum changes and engender a positive, contemporary culture of learning across the Primary School. They will collaborate effectively with teachers to create engaging, meaningful, and rigorous teaching programs across all learning areas, encouraging girls to strive for excellence and allowing
individuals to experience challenge and success across the curriculum.

Deputy Head of Primary (Student Wellbeing)
The Deputy Head of Primary (Student Wellbeing) will have an in-depth knowledge of the social, emotional, and pastoral needs of Primary aged girls. They will be responsible for all aspects of K-6 pastoral care and student wellbeing. The successful candidate will be an effective team member, and also have the outstanding communication and leadership skills required to foster open positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents. They will collaborate effectively with teachers to create effective wellbeing programs across the Primary School, focussed on growing resilience and adaptability in our girls.
