School District No 83 requires Custodian Spare Board

School District No 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap), Applications are invited for the Custodian Spare Board for casual custodial assignments throughout the District. Custodian positions are Union positions and the salary will be $20.79 per hour.

Qualifications required include:
Minimum grade 10 with a Building Service Worker Certificate, or equivalent from a vocational institute. Must be able to perform all custodian duties including lifting heavy objects and shovelling snow, ability to objects and shovelling snow, ability to perform cleaning and minor maintenance of school plants. (The Building Services Worker Certificate is offered at the Okanagan College or through School District No. 83 and we will be willing to consider applications to those whom are registered or willing to take the course, if you don’t already have the certificate.

Duties will include:
Cleaning of School District No. 83 sites, security, snow removal from sidewalks and entrances, other related duties as may be assigned or required.
