Shangri-Las Fijian Resort requires Service Associate and Engineer

Shangri-Las Fijian Resort & Spa is set on a 109-acre private island with a causeway connecting it to the mainland making it the largest Resort in Fiji with 442 elegant guest rooms.

Post Name: Service Leader – Fire & Life Safety

Post Name: Service Associate – Fire & Life Safety

The successful applicants report to the Assistant Director of Engineering and will be responsible for the maintenance and operational performance of all Fire & Life Safety within the Resort.

Qualifications & Experience Required:-

•  Pass Form 6/7 with high marks in English;
• At least 3 to 5 years fire fighting and emergency response experience.

Post Name:- Duty Engineer
The Duty Engineer will be responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance schedules, maintenance and new work requests, inspection of plant and service outlets, staff management and development, and assisting in special projects.

Qualifications & Experience Required:-

•  Relevant FIT or TPAF/FNU qualifications (either Diploma or Trade Test I or II together with a minimum 3 years’ experience at supervisory/ managerial level;
• Well versed with computer systems and have excellent communication skills;
• Thorough knowledge of use & maintenance of plant & equipment in his/her own area of expertise and general knowledge of use and maintenance of machinery in other Engineering areas;
• Possess a clean and valid driving license.
