SMU School of Economics Singapore is hiring Adjunct Faculty

The School of Economics (SOE) at Singapore Management University was established on 1 July 2002 to launch the Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree programme in Economics, and subsequently the Bachelor of Social Science undergraduate degree programme majoring in Psychology, Sociology, or Political Science.
In April 2007, the School of Economics and the School of Social Sciences were established as separate schools to better focus on the development of the undergraduate and graduate curricula and programmes, as well as faculty research in the respective disciplines.

Invites applications for a part-time teaching position in International Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and related subjects. The adjunct faculty is expected to deliver a mutually agreed number of sections of the undergraduate courses in Economics and Statistics in each academic term. Initial offer is likely to be either one or two sections per term. . Expected start date is around 1 January 2024 or otherwise mutually agreed. All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality and only short-listed candidates will be notified.

Applicants should have at least Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related fields, but those with a PhD degree will be strictly preferred. Experience in active and blended learning pedagogy and a track record of excellent teaching will be a plus.
