We are seeking to fill the following position in our Secondary School (Years 7-12):

Post Name:- Learning Support Teacher

Job Type:- Permanent Part-Time 0.8FTE

The School is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and highly experienced Learning Support teacher to join our team of committed and professional staff. The Senior School (Years 7-12) Learning Support teacher is known as a ‘Specialised Learning teacher’ at St Andrew’s, and will possess a deep and broad knowledge of current best practice in learning and behaviour support for students with diverse learning needs, current issues in education, and the legislative requirements associated with students with disabiity. including NCCD. In collaboration with the Leader of Learning – Specialised Learning, this role will include all aspects of case management of students with identified learning and support needs, within specific year groups, and will involve collaborative planning
meetings,
strategic communication to staff, students and parents/ carers, the compilation and review of medical and functional evidence, implementation and coordination of adjustments in the classroom and in assessment contexts. The ability to plan and run individual or small-group interventions as needed, both within the school day and on a co-curricular basis is also a part of this role.

This position requires the successful applicant to have a new Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012. prior to employment at the School.
