St Josephs Home Post Name:– Sous Chef

Job Summary

•  Responsible for overall daily kitchen food production activities suitable for the elderly, including infants and children up to b years old.
• Ensure that high standards of hygiene standards are followed throughout preparation processes.
• Plan; execute rotation of menus, kitchen market lists, monthly inventory and to provide training to kitchen team. Ensure kitchen team members are aware of standards of expectation.
• Ensure that high quality wholesome meals are served daily
• Keep records of food sampling and daily cooking temperature
• Ensure accurate use of raw materials and minimize on wastages.
• Ensure proper staff scheduling in accordance with production needs.
• Keep an open mind of communication regarding feedback
• Have good communications skills
• Positive attitude toward feedback.

Requirements

1.  Minimum 3-6 years’ experience in similar capacity
2. Maintain culinary standards and smooth workflow according to the Home’s requirements
3. Good knowledge of local dishes
4. Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability, and a team player.
5. Able to perform shifts including weekend and public holidays
6. Computer-literate in MS applications is an asset

Post Name:– Junior Sous Chef

Job Summary

•  Responsible for the daily smooth operations of food production and to stand in to run the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Direct Chef De Partie and Cooks in preparation and cooking.
• Cook and present meals to our Home’s residents, staff and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assist in preparing Kitchen marketing list monthly inventory and manage food costs.
• Manage and monitor kitchen team to provide highly quality meal services.
• Ensure that food hygiene and food safety standards are complied with.

Requirements

1.  Minimum 2-3 years work related skills and experience in local cuisine
2. Good knowledge of local food ingredients
3. Ability to focus on elderly needs and a team player
4. Able to perform shifts including weekend and public holidays
5. Computer-literate in MS applications is an asset

St Josephs Home Post Name:– Chef De Partie

Job Summary

•  Prepare and cook dishes according to assigned menus and recipes.
  Follow up any changes to new recipes or production methods pertaining to menus,
• Keep kitchen area, processing equipment and cooking utensils clean at all times.
• Ensure safe operations of all equipment and report any faults to superior immediately.
• Comply with hygiene and food safety standards set by the Home.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef.

1.  Able to learn, adapt swiftly, work independently and effectively in a team
2. Able to communicate with internal and external customers
3. Present a positive and professional disposition at all times
4. Able to perform shifts including weekend and public holidays
