Responsibilities

You will have the following deliverables:

• Plan and co-ordinate scheduled maintenance program to ensure maximum availability and zero to minimum down limp of plants and equipment at Fiji Pine group of companies.
• Develop, maintain, and uses reliable methods for all processes and improvements.
• Responsible to direct and control costs to ensure the implementation and continued effectiveness of repair and maintenance activities.
• Coordinating with co-heads and external suppliers on the in-house capital project:
  • Initiating
  • Planning
  • Executing
  • Monitoring / Controlling
  • Closing
• Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
• Support co – heads and lead the skills required for effective troubleshooting.
• Provide routine work plans and progress reports effectively and efficiently to department heads.
• Efficiently prepare the shift roster of unit as and when required for operations.
• Reporting of all breaches of standard operating procedures & practices of Electrical & Instrumentation and company policy and procedures.
• Reviewing and making recommendations for the improvement of Electrical & Instrumentation procedures and practices.
• Coordinate verbal briefing of staff on operational matters and ensuring that such briefings subsequently form part of the shift hand-over procedure.
• Documentation and up keeping of resources not limited to: staff register, tools /equipment’s, downtime and breakdown log book in accurate manner.
• Ensuring that plant register for machinery and components are amended and maintained in a timely manner.
• Effectively manage the HR functions, productivity and performance of the team.
• Adherence to OHS and housekeeping rules and procedures.
• Carry out any other duties within scope of position or related as assigned by the immediate supervisor/s or the department Manager from time to time.

Qualification & Experience

The successful candidate must have the following prerequisites:

• Degree or Trade Certificates in Electrical and at least 5 – 10 years’ work experience in the similar field.
• Valid wiremans license.
• sound knowledge of industrial environment and Demonstrated ability to formulate sound strategic plans and programs to effectively deliver corporate goals.
• Capability of managing multi-disciplined team.
• High level of integrity, self-discipline, commitment, energy and passion for what you do.
• Able to prepare strategic documents & make recommendations.
• Must have a wide knowledge of industry with good understanding of relevant laws, regulations and standards..
• Ability to use hand and power tools to carry out duties assigned..
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, team player and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic and flexible attitude toward working hours.
• Excellent communication, time management and organization skills.

Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work in a challenging environment is essential.
