Tropik Wood Industries requires Plant Technical Assistant and Plant Operator

Tropik Wood Industries Limited (TWIL) a subsidiary of the Pine Group of Companies, owns and operates the largest sawmill, Fiji’s only chip mill and is also an independent power producer, selling electricity into the national grid.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated, determined and reliable persons for the following roles;

Post Names:-

•  Treatment Plant Technical Assistant x 1
•  Treatment Plant Operator x 4

Responsibilities will mainly involve:

Treatment Plant Technical Assistant:-

•  To assist in the Treatment Plant Facility
•  To assist in the day to day usage of the correct mix of chemicals;
• To assist in Cost Control;
• Ensure the observance of strict OHS protocols.

Treatment Plant Operator:

•  To operate the new treatment plant facility.
•  To oversee the treatment of timber and post & poles with appropriate mix of chemicals.
• Ensure the observance of strict OHS protocols.

Qualification & Experience:-
The successful candidates must have a diploma in a relevant field or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Be able to do shift work and a safety conscious individual. Trade skills, integrity and positive attitude are prerequisites.
