It is seeking to appoint a Head of Project Delivery to support the delivery of its Group-wide projects.

This newly created leadership role will work across the Group to provide advice and strategic planning, and to put in place robust processes around a range of commercial and innovative projects within the Group’s seafood, horticulture, wine and beverages, and commercial property enterprises.

In addition to a willingness to develop an affinity for all aspects of Wakatu’s values, the role requires a senior leader with in-depth knowledge of project management processes (PMP or PRINCE2), a track record of building strong working relationships, driving best practice and organizational change.

There will be lots of opportunity to use your innovative and creative skills and to work on value-driven projects with talented people, enhancing a legacy responsibly through collaboration, determination and integrity.

Based in Whakatu (Nelson). Wakatu Incorporation has approximately 4,000 owners, who descend from the customary Maori landowners, the whanau and hapu of the Whakatu, Motueka and Mohua rohe. As guardians of land and sea, Wakatu honours manaaki, people and culture, and whenua, land, and water space; and celebrates Kono, an award-winning food and drinks producer and exporter, and AuOra, a consumer-focused, health-solutions business.
