Westown School is a state primary school that enrolls children from new entrants to Year 6. We have a roll of approximately 130 children.

Teacher Aide Job Vacancy at Westown School Taranaki New Zealand

Post Name: Experienced Teacher Aide

We are looking for an experienced Support Staff Member that is confident working with 5 and 6 year olds and understands their developmental needs.
The successful applicant will need to be sporty and active and have great initiative. They will need to be experienced with working with challenging behaviours and have a positive mindset. The successful applicant will need to be confident in making decisions as required but also able to take direction from the Classroom Teacher and Senior Management. We are looking for someone who is able to see strengths in the students and nurture these in creative and engaging ways. This is a Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm position in Term Time only. The position starts at the beginning of Term 2- Wednesday 27 April, or as soon as possible after this date.
