An established manufacturing company (Yaw Ngiap) is seeking the following candidate to join us as:

Post Name: MECHANICAL DESIGNER (Automation System)

Responsibilities of Mechanical Designer:

• To design automation machines, fixtures and related parts based on conceptual and requirements provided by the customer.
• To draw detailed parts drawing & build BOM for fabrication & assembly.
• To follow up the schedule for the designed machines, fixtures and related parts with in-house production department, machines vendors and parts suppliers.
• Completing all assigned tasks as delegated by the OM/PM within the schedule given.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
• Controls project plan by reviewing specifications, plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
• Assists in equipment assembly, setup, troubleshooting & customer support. Prepares Machine Operation Manual and documentation.

Mechanical Designer Requirements:

• Diploma (Mechanical) & above
• At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in Factory Automatic System (Pick and Place, Conveyor, sensors, etc)
• Experience in Industrial Automation Machine Design, Jigs & Fixtures
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (Inventor, Solidwork preferred)
• Project management capability is preferred.
• Familiar with manufacturing process & materials
• Able to work independently, is responsible and a team player with good work ethics and attitude
• International travel as be required with the potential of multiple overnight stays and weekend and evening disruption.
• Visit customer’s sites/plants when needed to do discussion or measurement.

Details:
Working Location: Singapore – West
Working days / week: 5-1/2 days
