Farm Assistant Job Vacancy at Farmside Timaru New Zealand

Post Name: Farm Assistant Required

A Full-time Farm Assistant required on Run off & Home farm.

Some key duties are:

• Tractor driving – experience essential for feeding out, & cultivation experience desirable
• Thistle / Gorse spraying
• Calf rearing & stock handling
• Irrigation (K-line) – experience required
• Fencing
• General maintenance
• Grass management
• Other duties as required

The successful candidate will:

• Preferably have 6 months plus experience
• Be competent riding 4 wheel motorbikes
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ residency or a valid work visa)
• Must be available for an in person interview, and to provide two recent referees
• Be prepared to take drug test(s) if required
• Have a clean criminal record
• Current New Zealand drivers license

The successful candidate will be working alongside the owner.
Accommodation is available if needed.
Start date 1 November 2021.
