International Grammar School (IGS) is a secular, co-educational school in Ultimo, serving Preschool to Year 12 in a unique bilingual environment. For this exciting new position, we are seeking an outstanding teacher and educational leader with a passion for teaching and learning.
– Reporting directly to the Principal and working closely with the leadership team. Heads of Department, Heads of Stage and the Director of Early Learning, the successful candidate will enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the School. Aligning highly effective teaching practice with the NSW curriculum, the School’s strategic plan and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers is a key aspect of this ongoing full-time role, commencing in 2019.

Experience, expertise and personal attributes:-

•  An outstanding record as a teacher and educational leader
• Technical knowledge of and expertise across the NSW curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate teaching practice, provide quality feedback, and design and deliver targeted professional development experiences for teachers
• Postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership or subject discipline
• Extensive experience in schools
• Collaborative, empathetic and decisive
• A life-long learner and role model of professional behavior
