Job Requirement for Quantity Surveyor at LCDA Real Estate Sdn Bhd

Post Name: Quantity Surveyor

Applicant must possess the necessary qualifications and/or related working experience and meet the following criteria’s:-

Job Requirements:

• A recognized Degree In Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum five (5) years of working experience in related field.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and material unit price.
• Budget handling skill.
• Excellent IT literacy.
• Well-versed with contract management, arbitration and regulations practice in Malaysia.
• A methodical approach to work and good organizational skill.
• A clear understanding of building regulations and other legal guidelines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Good teamwork spirit, positive and proactive working attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Check, vet and advise on consultancy agreement, tender and contract documentations prepared by consultants.
• Liaise with consultants and material suppliers.
• Prepare and analyze costing for quotations and tenders.
• Undertake costs analysis for any proved uncertain.
• Prepare and arrange for payment certification.
• Responsible to monitor and evaluate contract agreement compliance.
• Prepare tendering process, evaluation, attend tender interview, negotiation of prices and award for tender for any project assigned to.
• Vet and incorporate new terms and conditions as required by Government/Management into the tender and contract documentations.
• Check and coordinate the project cost, assess and advise on the contractual issues, such as variation orders, extension of time, loss & expense claims, dispute and settlement of final accounts during the implementation projects.
• Carry out such other duties as may properly be those of a Quantity Surveyor
• Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as and when required by the superior.
