Post Name:- Fleet Standards Supervisor

This position supports the Fleet Manager in ensuring the serviceability and maintenance of the company fleet. The responsibility encompasses every aspect of preventative maintenance and daily turnaround maintenance checks, record keeping and reporting for the entire fleet and related assets.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Supervise the mechanics and maintenance staff work rosters and ensure scheduled maintenance and service checks are carried out in compliance with work procedures, work rules and safe work practices.
2. Control refueling bowsers, replenishment of fuel tanks, fueling of vehicles and maintaining records of stock and fuel distribution for the fleet.
3. Ensure the maintenance records for the fleet are accurate and up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements; including the provision of adequate insurance coverage.
4. Assist with general administration work including financial management of departmental expenses and the timely acquittal of accountable management documents.
5. Supervise the work schedule of Transport Depot staff on the yard – security officers, rental car delivery reps and car wash attendants and ensure their work is completed daily and in accordance with service and maintenance standards.
6. Ensure the Transport Depot work environment, grass surrounds, staff and toilet facilities are fully maintained and meet OHS requirements.
7. Supervise, direct and mentor subordinate personnel, evaluate performance and initiate and recommend disciplinary actions where required and maintain personnel records.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualification:-

•  Appropriate tertiary qualification in Automotive Technology or related field with at least 5 years’ experience in maintenance, repair and overhaul of light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Must have administrative and supervisory experience and have the ability to communicate clearly.
• Must possess a Group 2 Driver’s License
• Must be able to work shifts on a 24/7 schedule with minimum supervision
• Be computer savvy and be proficient with MS Applications
