English and Economics Teacher vacancies exists at SCEGGS DARLINGHURST

Post Name: English Teacher
The successful applicant will have a deep knowledge of and passion for the study of English and English literature in Year 7-12 classrooms and demonstrated success in mixed ability classrooms. Expertise and experience in teaching Extension 1 and/or Extension 2 English would be an advantage.

Post Name: Economics Teacher

The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher of Economics in Stage 6, as well as Commerce and Geography in the junior years. Additional experience in Business Studies would be an advantage.

Applicants for both roles will be highly accomplished classroom teachers, able to model the highest standards of professional skill and collaborative teaching practice. They will be able to inspire their students to learn through a diverse range of pedagogical strategies and have expertise in differentiating the curriculum and encouraging students to be independent and self-reliant learners. Successful applicants will have a deep contemporary knowledge of their discipline and the skills and passion to share this with students.They will be innovative users of technology and ready to contribute to a dynamic team of teachers.They will also be committed to the full life of the school and supportive of its Christian ethos.
