Applications are invited from enthusiastic, motivated and passionate teachers for a full-time, permanent position in our History Department, commencing in Term 2, 2020. Applicants with a preference for a part-time position may be considered.

The successful applicant for this position will be a passionate historian and an experienced teacher of Modern History in Stage 6, as well as elective and mandatory courses in the junior years. Additional experience in Extension History would be an advantage.

Applicants for this position will be a highly accomplished classroom teacher, able to model the highest standards of professional skill and collaborative teaching practice. They will have a deep knowledge and understanding of History and be innovative, collaborative and ready to join a dynamic team. They will be able to inspire their students to learn through a diverse range of pedagogical strategies, including the effective use of technology, and have expertise in differentiating the curriculum and encouraging students to be independent and self-reliant learners. The successful applicant will also be committed to the full life of the school and supportive of its Christian ethos.
