The Job:

• Desktop Publishing – receiving & checking of all editorial completed pages (English. Chinese, Malay & Tamil) as well as overseas publications
• Electronic transmission of completed pages to the designated print sites
• Liaison with Marketing and Editorial on day to day page flow and advertising material issues
• Picture enhancement using Adobe Photoshop Application for both editorial and advertising images
• Updating & creation of shipping schedule and obituary ad make-up using Adobe In Design Application
• Receiving and quality check of all incoming advertisements from advertising agencies
• Provide feedback to Marketing if advertisement material submitted does not conform to printing specifications
• Assign copy instruction for all advertisements
• Filing, sorting and house-keeping of all advertising materials and newspapers
• Good knowledge of colour management and experience in digital imaging is preferred.
• Training will be provided
  Requirements:

• Minimum GCE “N” / “0” level
• NTC or Nitec Graphic Reproduction and knowledge of Adobe Applications (In Design & Photoshop) will be an added advantage
• Able to operate PCs or Macintoshes
• Must be able to work 5-day week with shift rotation with rotational off-days
