WHSmith is a leading retailer of Books, Newspapers, Magazines and Convenience products. It operates over 1000 stores in Britain and is strongly developing internationally (Europe, the Middle East, Malaysia, China, and Australia). We operate 7 retail stores at Muscat International Airport in Oman as Joint venture business with Ajit Khimji Group.

– We are looking to hire a Retail Operations Manager responsible for our front-end operations of retail stores at Muscat Airport. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining appropriate merchandising standard in stores, recruiting, training and developing people (especially cashiers), ensuring compliance to the rules and regulations of OAMC & other statutory requirements, driving business and maximizing productivity.
– The ideal candidate will be less than 35 years of age; shall have at least 5 years of experience in managerial position in retail sales environment. Fluent in Arabic and English, good team player, flexible, adaptable working hours (Evenings and weekends), multi-tasking, lead by example: fair numerical ability, good management skills, with good commercial sense and strategic thinking.
